THE CONTEXT
A different kind of project. Claireton purchased this apartment independently — a Finca Regia building on Gran Via — with the intention of renovating it from scratch and selling it. The brief was not a client's wishlist but a clear commercial vision: transform a tired property into something that would sell itself.

WHAT WE DID
The apartment was stripped entirely — all walls removed, ceilings exposed, brick uncovered. The layout was reimagined as an open-plan living space, with a new kitchen in Porcelanosa, tiled bathrooms, and solid wood floors throughout. The terrace was opened up and converted into a gallery space. Original doors were kept, sanded down, and rehung with new locks and handles — a detail that captures the approach across the whole project: restore where possible, replace where necessary. The renovation was executed by Leontien Nipshagen alongside a contractor team she has worked with for many years. Once the building work was complete, the apartment was staged, styled, and sold.
